Station House in Bellingham
The aim of the partnership is to improve the quality of life for those living, working and visiting the area. The Partnership compliments the work of the Parish Councils, in its ability to secure funding which would not be available to the Parish Councils. It also, where possible, supports and encourages sustainable and economic development within the communities by providing advice and support to businesses and voluntary community groups.
The Partnership covers the area up the North Tyne and Rede valleys, incorporating the parishes of Bellingham, Byrness, Corsenside, Falstone, Kielder, Kirkwelpington, Otterburn, Rochester and Tarset & Greystead.
The Partnership is managed by a board of up to 12 trustees who represent the wider area and include Parish Councilors, Business representatives, as well as general members of the local community. The trustees meet every two months at venues throughout the area with the puropse of reviewing and monitoring progress of projects and agreeing future actions and commitments.
We also coordiate volunteering opportunities within the area - bringing together people who would like to give some spare time with organisations and groups who need some help. Click the Community Partners tab on the top of the page for more detials.
